Our dry mares are run in large paddocks in groups. Mares with foals at foot are paddocked in groups no larger than 7. The mares and foals are fed to maintain optimal body condition.

Wyndholm Park have two farriers that attend on a regular basis to maintain the mares and foals all important hoof care.

A regular vaccination program and ecto and endo parasite control system is followed to optimise mare and foal health. Resident mares are maintained as an individual group apart from short term mares.

All horses on the farm are supplemented with copper and zinc sulphates in the water troughs as this is known to reduce leg problems in foals.
